Normal Park Museum Magnet

When I began teaching art in 1995, I had no idea the experience would lead me to the #1 Magnet School in America! It has been my privilege to work at Normal Park Museum Magnet since the beginning, and have been teaching art at the Upper School for the past two years. I have a BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Photography and English and a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, all from UTK. I love sharing all the things I have learned with my students. A life-long learner myself, I am a ten year member and the vice-president of the Chattanooga Area Art Instructors, as well as a member of the Tennessee Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association. I enjoy attending professional development opportunities and benefit from attending the TAEA conferences on a yearly basis. I currently sponsor the National Junior Art Honor Society and take pleasure in hosting Parent/Child workshops throughout the year.
