2005 Bachelor of Music in Music Education, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
2008 Master of Music in Music Education, The Howard University, District of Columbia

I have taught music at NPMM Upper School since 2008. We offer many exciting music classes at the upper school. Beginning in 4th grade, students may choose to play a band instrument or sing in the chorus. 6th-8th graders may perform in a variety of ensembles including pep band, jazz band, concert band, and chorus. As an instrumental and vocal music teacher I have the opportunity to see students develop their musical abilities in many settings.

On my primary instrument, clarinet, I have performed in many ensembles from the European Orchestra of Washington to the Knoxville based band, Phil Pollard and his Band of Humans. I also played tuba in the Pride of the Southland Marching Band.

I look forward to building on the success we have had in developing such a comprehensive music program.
