This is my second exciting year teaching at Normal Park. The professionals with whom I work truly make this one of the most outstanding schools in the country. I am a veteran science teacher who became a technology engineering educator in 1996, and I now teach all hands – on activities! I became certified to teach technology engineering after an examination and I love being the one in school to combine all other subjects in order to teach Design and Problem Solving with real world applications.

I am the Technology Student Association faculty advisor and I have taken many in the 6th through 8th grades to regional and state TSA competitions. We have won many trophies for problem solving and technology issues competitions. In 2005 I was given the Technology Teacher of the Year for Tennessee award by the International Technology Educators Association. I still strive to learn so I might give my students my best!
