I received my BA in French from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, where I won the Gladys Gooch Modern Language Award for travel to Avignon, France.
I studied the French language, literature, and theater at the Institut Americain Universitaire in Avignon and lived with a French family for three months during the summer of 1999. I taught French to sixth-eighth graders at Franklin Road Academy Middle School in Nashville from January of 2000-2006. While working on my MAT, I taught a French 1010 course at Middle Tennessee State University during the Summer of 2004. I graduated from MTSU that summer with my MAT in French. Last year, I taught some classes at Notre Dame High School and tutored at McCallie, before accepting the position to teach French and Theater at Normal Park Museum Magnet Upper School.
