PTA Meeting and 2nd-Grade Play

Don’t miss the PTA Meeting and 2nd-grade performance of Tide Pool Condos on Monday, March 1, 5:30 pm at the Lower School. The meeting will include a zoning update by Principal Levine. 1 volunteer hour for each parent/guardian who attends, but you must be signed in by 5:40 pm to receive volunteer credit.

Haiti Disaster Relief

Normal Park sent $1635.13 to the Red Cross Haiti Disaster Relief Fund. Every student and faculty member was asked to give $1, but many gave more. Thanks to everyone for supporting this relief effort!

The Science Lab is in need of sod for building a sod house (even dead sod is fine!) and a jeweler who can bring samples and speak to 3rd grade classes. For more information, contact Laura Federico, 605-3226.

Pennies for Peace!

Save your pennies for Pennies for Peace! Inspired by the book Three Cups of Tea, students Lea Mulligan and Jennifer Brockman are leading a drive to collect 100,000 pennies by the end of the school year to help build schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The class who raises the most money will have their money matched by a generous anonymous donor, and two classes will receive the young adult version of the book.
