Welcome to NPMM PTA!
The NPMM PTA currently boasts over 330 members, comprised of parents and teachers from both our upper and lower campuses. A number of major capital projects have been funded and led by the NPMM PTA over the past several years:
- 2004-2005: Discovery Playground - a $300,000 joint venture with City Parks & Recreation, providing an accessible, outdoor playspace for our lower school students and our North Chattanooga neighbors.
- 2006-2007: Lower School Library - a more than $50,000 complete renovation of our library space, including new carpeting, paint, shelving, computer tables and lighting.
- 2007-2008: Lower School Cafeteria - total makeover of our lunchroom for both cafeteria use as well as our aftercare program, including new lighting, seating, and indoor playhouse.
- 2008-2009: Upper School Playground - a new playground at the Upper School provides a fun new play space for children during recess and middle-school football games!
Additionally, we support the NPMM Education Fund as well as our Sports Boosters and Teacher Appreciation programs.
The NPMM PTA sponsors two major fundraising events each year:
Normal-Palooza (November 7, 2009)
Our annual fall arts and music festival is a much anticipated community event. Over
60 artists and vendors line Mississippi Avenue in front of our Upper School to showcase
their wares, while a series of toe-tapping bands and performances rotate on two
outdoor stages. The "kids corner," complete with inflatables, pony rides, face painting,
and games is a perennial hit. And don't forget the great food from local merchants!

Fork & Gavel (Spring Event)
Our annual spring auction is a highly anticipated evening event. For the fourth
year in a row, parent Miguel Morales of Carrabas Grill is providing dinner. Bid
on silent and live auction items - everything from camps and gift baskets to terrific
