Volunteer Opportunities

Hamilton County magnet schools require parent volunteer hours, yet at Normal Park volunteering has moved beyond a requirement to a commonly held expectation for magnet families and those who live within the school zone. Our families put in thousands of volunteer hours per year, and they are a primary reason for the successful transformation of Normal Park from a failing school to a national model of excellence.

Community volunteers also help out in many ways, from renovating our school buildings to tutoring students in math and language arts. We are thankful to our many friends in the community who partner with us each school year!

  • Volunteer Project Station
There is a new location for volunteer projects! The new station is located in the back of the main office beside Mindy Kral’s desk. Projects are divided by teacher and grade and will have specific instructions attached. Please make sure to check all work out in the blue volunteer folder. Projects are to be taken to room 301. Upon returning projects, check all projects back in at the volunteer station so that they can be monitored as completed or still in progress. Please do not return projects directly to the teachers unless specified to do so. This will cut down on interruptions within the classrooms.
  • Exhibit Projects
Exhibit projects are in full swing!! There are many volunteer needs available in each grade.
  • Learning Expedition
Don’t forget that you can also spend time with your child at a Learning Expedition in order to obtain volunteer hours!
